Opat posielam vzorky do Phat Fiber, juuuu

I spun a little sample on my drop spindle, I love the uneveness of the yarn, caused by silk waste, which is lumpy bumpy super tangled fibre. It makes a lovely rustic yarn, I think. I can't wait to spin this baby into lace weight singles
Experimental sample batt no.2 contains filature silk waste (different kind, even worse than throwers' silk waste), some merino, angora, wee bit of silk and a good bit of alpaca. I have almost 150g. Again, this will make highly textured yarn.

This is my new spindle, super light and tiny, around 20g I think. I love it for spinning saples of various fibres. There's cashmere fibre in the picture. mmm, just like spinning clouds. It has 14-15(!) micron count. I'm hoping to have cashmere top and batts available in the shop very soon. I loved this sample I got from my supplier and will be getting more.

Little progres on Wing of the moth shawl, I devoted all my knitting time to the sweater.
I have spent today dyeing. I'm soo exhausted :) But it was a time well spent, I have managed to dye over 3 kilos of yarn. I updated the shop today with previous batch, and next update will follow shortly (humid irish weather, it takes ages to dry). But I'll have new base yarns! Silk/merino in thickish lace weight and scrumptious blend of cashmere and silk in lace weight, yum! Here are the wet yarns.

I also started beautiful Wing of the Moth shawl by (very talented) Anne Hanson of Knitspot. I am using one of the yarns she suggests for the pattern, Douceur et Soie, kid mohair/silk blend. I was lucky enough to be able to trade two of my sock yarns for 4 fluffy balls of this yarn. How great is Ravelry? I really hope I'll be able to finish the shawl with this yarn, it is fluffy and difficult to knit and all. but I love fuzzy mohair shawls and scarves
This will become warm bed socks for my grandma. my handspun yarn, 100% merino
