fly along: October 2008

My lovely Lola won't be cold anymore (not that she ever was cold...). I made her this, I would call it rustic, sweater out of blue texel wool, in dark brown colour with lighter bits that I spun into very rough 3ply yarn. I needed approximately 70 grams of it. I started at the neck in k1p1 ribbing, then increased, made 2 holes for the legs and continued towards the belly. It fits her nicely, although it does bunch up a little when she walks. The best thing is that she doesn't mind wearing it... just my homophobic boyfriend thinks that dog in a sweater is gay...

Lole uz nebude zima, uz ma takyto rustikalny svetrik z vlnky, ktoru som spriadla z ovce, ktora sa vola blue texel. Len moj frajer je nestastny, ze mame teraz gay psa :) Svetrik spotreboval asi 70g vlnky, zacala som na krku pruznym vzorom, sa to myslim vola a potom som pribrala na brusko, spravila dve dierky na nohy a potom uz len kusok a hotovo. A Lolinke ani nevadi, ze ho ma na sebe...

this is brooklyntweed's Koolhas hat, that I made for exchange for the guy that repaired my spinning wheel (not my pretty new one, but old vintage wheel I got from Slovakia... I have 3 spinning wheels, but only one works...). I didn't like the stitch motif much, lot of cabling, on every second row, but the end result is very pretty and manly.

aj takuto capicku som spravila, na vymenu, za opraveny kolovratok, ktory aj tak moc nefunguje (nie moj krasny novy, taky stary, na slovensku kupeny). Je to Koolhas hat, ktory navrhol Jared z brooklyntweed

I also made square for my friend Natina's blanket... donate a square, project at our knitting group. Made with my own silk singles yarn.

potom som este spravila stvorcek pre kamosku ktora robi deku zo stvorcekov a uz nevladze robit stvorceky, tak som jej vypomohla s jednym... je to z mojej vlnky silk singles.
