GRAND OPENING

Veselo veselo uz mam obchod na svete. prosim navstivte JEZKOVE VLNKY na etsy. Zatial tam je prva varka vlniek, ale pripravujem nadherne hodvaby, kasmir, merino vlnu, angoru a dokonca aj tavie vlnky, ktore su az prekvapivo hebke a krasne. Farbim vsetko rucne, a snazim sa dosiahnut skor jemne prechody farieb, ktore spolu harmonizuju. Napriklad ako moje Pomatomus rukavicky. Vesele strikovanie prajem!

This is grand opening announcement , please visit HEDGEHOG FIBRES on etsy. For now I have there the first batch of yarns. But soon I will have beautiful silks, cashmere, merino, angora and camel yarns (believe it or not, surprisingly soft and bouncy). All yarns are hand dyed by me and I am aiming for heathered speckled effect as opposed to self striping yarns. I dye randomly to prevent pooling and all that nasty stuff. KONECNE strikujem skvelu baby surprise detsku bundicku. uz dlho som pokukovala po tomto vzore a konecne mam prilezitost, teda vhodne male dieta. Totok bude pre Holly z nasho strikovacieho kruzku, ktorej sa ma narodit syn alebo dcera (nevieme a ani ona nevie, ale uz za 3 tyzdne). ja jej strikujem toto, to akoze pre chlapca, Carol jej strikuje Tomten bundicku taku ruzovofialovu, akoze pre dievca. Je to vzor od Elizabeth Zimmermann a teda je to poriadne origami. cele sa to strikuje v jednom kuse a potom sa to magicky zlozi a nechsapaci bundicka. pani Zimmermann ma v knizke dost slabe instrukcie, a podla knizky som to teda nepochopila. pouzila som tento hack. tam je to rozpisane riadok po riadku aj ked plne instrukcie to tiez nie su (vzor je autorizovany a nie je volne siritelny na nete). takze kniha + riadkovy rozpis a celkom to ide. pani Zimmermann je genius a jej knihy su plne vselijakych vtipnych vzorov, tento vsak vyhrava u mna.

Finally, baby surprise jacket. This is the best pattern ever. I love it, love it, love it. I wanted to make it for a very long time and now I have an opportunity, because my friend Holly, from our knitting group is having a baby (in less than 3 weeks, whether boy or a girl we do not know, neither does she). I am making this one, Carol is making Tomten Jacket (pinkish purplish lovely girly colour). Elizabeth Zimmermann is sure a genius. it is a very strange origami thing that you knit in one piece, fold it and behold, a jacket magically appears. And I didn´t get the instructions from the book. I had to use this hack. Pattern is broken into rows there. Although it is not a full pattern, you have to use book as well (eg. Knitting workshop by Elizabeth Zimmermann).


totok je krasny Laminaria salik. estonska cipka, plno takych hviezdicovych ociek, ale neni az taky zlozity, celkom ho pribuda, myslela som ze to bude podstatne horsie. akurat, ze strikujem z dost hnusnej vlnky (preto fotka v protisvetle). mam v plane dokoncit ho a potom prefarbit... na aku farbu, no jedine cierna to prekryje asi.

this is beautiful Laminaria shawl. estonian lace, full of star stitches, but not too difficult, since the instructions are written so well. The only thing is that I am using really ugly yarn (that´s why the picture is taken against light). so I think it will be best to finish and then overdye... black being the only possibility here.

na tomto sa snazim pracovat tie, bude to plstena taska, pretoze potrebujem nieso stylove na nosenie mojich ihlic na kruzok a spat. Uz sa neviem dockat kedy bude hotova. Je to totiz bestia. velka nudna bestia, same hladko dookola. asponze Lola ma zabavu. zatial mam asi tak jednu tretinu hotovu, zozralo to uz asi 300g vlny a este k tomu mi Lola pomotala cele klbko z ktoreho som strikovala. Kto sa ale na nu moze hnevat?

another project of mine, felted bag. I need to have something stylish to carry my needles in, right? I might be one third way through and this thing is a monster. nobody can tell that it is going to be a bag, because it is so huge (felting will shrink it I hope by at least one third). it is also very boring to knit, all stockinette in the round. but Lola thinks it is an amazing thing to play with. (she loves all wool anyway, and tangles my neat balls with pure bliss.)

pomatomus rukavicka a noro salik

rukavicka takatok, pomatomus vzor ktory bol povodne na ponozky som takto pomenila a juchu mam rukavicku, zatial iba jednu, lebo neviem celkom presne ako mam urobit druhu. tato je uplne ocividne prava a obavam sa ze ak chcem lavu, tak budem musiet ten vzor spravit zrkadlovo... to kvoli palcu, ktory neni len tak naboku ale je anatomicky spravne posunuty smerom dovnutra a (uplnou nahodou) presne kopiruje tvar mojho palca. tak ja neviem. akosik sa mi nechce pustat do lavej rukavicky... vlnku som pouzila moju, rucne farbenu, bavlna/hodvab zmes. Krasna textura.

Pomatomus glove, this pattern is meant to be a pair of socks, but I changed it a little and wooohooo I have a glove. Sadly only one so far. I somehow cannot figure out how to make the other one, because this fits right hand only. I´m afraid I´ll have to make a mirrored image of that pattern... because the thumb fits on my right thumb only. Somehow I don´t even want to start the left one... anyway I have used my own hand dyed yarn, cotton/silk blend and I love the look, subtle but colorfull. Great stitch definition.

aha ake krasne dive maky mame na zahrade, to som kupila semienka ze divy mak - zmes. mali tam byt zlte a ruzove a cervene a biele a oranzove a nakoniec VSETKY su taketok fialove. sak ale pekne.

these are our wild poppies, I have bought mixed poppy seeds, there should have been yellow poppies, pink, white, red ones, orange and in the end ALL of them are purple. nice though.

a kedze mam noveho psika tak nemozem inak a musim ho stale fotit. tunak je lola s noro salikom najlepsim najkrajsim nasamviac fasa super. uz mam nakupenych dalsich 10 klbiek noro silk garden vlnky. z toho mi vyjde 2.5 sala. tento noro salik ma cca 210cm, pruzky su siroke na 2 riadky.

here is our new dog Lola with noro the best ever most amazing scarf. I have 10 more noro silk garden balls in my stash... that will make 2,5 scarves. This one is approximately 210cm long, stripes are 2 rows wide.

uz sa neviem dockat kedy bude zima, uz ho chcem nosit.
