New yarns and bit of sewing

Parcel from my supplier arrived yesterday. what a fantastic yarns. 100% handspun angora is THE softest thing I have ever touched and it looks just like clouds. also 100% handspun baby camel is butter soft. softer than merino, softer than blue faced leicester, beautiful. Softer than anything I have touched so far. also, yardage is great 220m per 100 grams of sort of aran weight. Both camel and angora fibre is extremely lofty, and it is handspun so it varies a bit in thickness. Then I have ordered 100% silk in again sort of aran weight. It is single ply, glossy and pretty. Just have a look!

Joooj vcera dorazila zasielka od mojho dodavatela vlniek.... naaadhera, vsetko tak krasne, makkucke a uzasne. 100% rucne spriadana vlnka z angorskych zajacikov je ta najmaksia vecicka na svete. a vyzera ako oblaciky. 100% rucne spriadana vlnka z baby tiav nadherna prirodzene bezova vlnka, uplne jemnulinka. Maksie ako merino vlnka, maksie ako hociktora vlnka ktoru som mala doteraz. a pretoze aj tavie chlpy aj chlpy angorskych zajkov su velmi lahke, maju tieto vlnky az 220m na 100 gramov a su take no hrubsie, tunak v irsku by sa to volalo ze aran hrubka, no nieco take idealne na svetre. A pretoze su to rucne spriadane vlnky, hrubka sa trosku meni, niekde hrubsia, niekde tensia. Vytvara to super rustikalnu texturu. Potom mi este prisiel aj 100% hodvab, krasny leskly, len sa pozrite!


I also have 100% silk in lace weight, I'm about to find about the exact yardage. and it came wound on a cone and I don't have niddy noddy or skein winder or anything. yesterday I wound 100g by hand and it nearly killed me. I think that this one is about 1000m per 100 grams

mam tiez 100% hodvab tenucky na cipku a tak. akurat ze to je navinute v jednom velkom klbku. vcera som previnula 100g rucne (aby som to mohla farbit) a skoro som prisla o rozum. Zabava velka, odhadujem, ze tato vlnkama tak asi minimalne 1000m na 100 gramov. Presne parametre ale musim zistit.

and before that I had a sewing day. I made several pouches for storing dried herbs and stuff like that ( I plan to make a collection of ecologically dyed yarns as soon I have enough dyestuff). I also made simple pin cushion. I can only sew simple things. But fabric is beautiful, the patterned one is from Ikea, from Slovakia.

jeden den som mala sici, usila som si vrecka na skladovanie susenych byliniek a takych veci (mam v plane jedneho krasneho dna urobit kolekciu ekologicky farbenych vlniek, hned ako budem mat dost rasstliniek nazbieranych a nasusenych). Aj jednoduchy ihelnicek som si spravila. ja viem vlastne sit iba jednoduche veci. Ale latka ta vzorovana sa mi paci prevelice, je z Ikea, zo Slovenska.
